Data.egov.uz portal is an open information portal that currently contains huge information resources of great interest to users of government agencies. The disclosure of socially significant information from government agencies in the form of open data is the basis of open public administration.

By publishing open data and providing access to it, transparency in the activities of government agencies is ensured, public control is provided, and new services are created for citizens and businesses. The publication of information and information about the activities of government agencies in the form of open information allows them to be used as sources of information in the formation of various information resources and in the development of information systems, as well as services and applications for government agencies and business entities.

The portal operates within the framework of Resolution No. 232 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 7, 2015 "On measures to further improve the portal of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Internet, taking into account the provision of open information."
