Obtaining a classification of election-related data
In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 3961 dated October 4, 2018, “On measures to introduce modern information and communication technologies into the electoral process,” the Election Process Management Information System (EPMIS) was developed. This system eliminated the manual compilation of voter lists at polling stations and prevented the inclusion of a single voter in multiple lists. By automatically allocating the voter list to polling stations, citizens gained the ability to find their assigned station via the official CEC website and the Single Interactive State Services Portal (SISSP).
Purpose and objectives of the system
- Ensuring the functionality of the Single Electronic List of Voters during electoral processes;
- Providing tools for allocating voters to polling stations and enabling precinct commission members to make corrections to the lists;
- Generating election-related statistical data;
- Creating opportunities for voters to access information regarding the address and details of their assigned polling station;
- Improving the electoral process of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Integrating with departmental information systems and databases via secure communication channels.
- Allocating voter lists to specific polling stations.
- Generating relevant reports based on election results.
Statistics
Regarding the results of the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and Local Councils held on October 27, 2024:
There were 11,028 polling stations established across the Republic of Uzbekistan, with 19,944,859 voters allocated to them. In 40 foreign countries, 165.6 thousand voters were registered across 57 polling stations. The number of young people participating in elections for the first time amounted to 506.8 thousand. 15,027,529 voters cast their ballots within Uzbekistan, while 132,667 voters voted abroad.
