To improve the legal culture of the population and enhance the system of providing society with legal information by ensuring broad access of individuals and legal entities to normative legal documents.

To form and maintain the National Database of Legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as to ensure the official publication of normative legal acts in this national database, their systematized registration, and the maintenance of control copies in electronic form;

To ensure that individuals and legal entities use the National Database in accordance with the established procedure;

To deliver normative legal acts and related analytical materials in electronic form to all state bodies and organizations according to the list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

To publish unofficial commentaries on legislative acts (Lex.uz commentary) and explanatory materials in the National Database of Legislation;

To regularly inform citizens of Uzbekistan about the content of newly adopted laws, decrees, resolutions, and other legal documents, as well as amendments introduced to them, in accordance with the requirements of ongoing reforms;

To provide legal information to various segments of the population, including school students, young readers, persons with disabilities, university students, employees working in different sectors, and civil servants;

To assign classification codes to all documents according to the general legal classifier of branches of legislation based on their relevance;

To prepare user guidelines for the National Database of Legislation
