The natural environment is the totality of its natural components (atmospheric air, surface and groundwater, soils, subsoil), landscapes and objects that determine the conditions of human life, the habitat of animals, plants and other living organisms.
Pollution of the natural environment is an increased content of physical, chemical or biological reagents in it that are not characteristic of the given environment, brought in from the outside, the presence of which leads to negative consequences. Emissions and discharges are the main sources of air, water and soil pollution on a regional and global scale.
Assessment of the state of the natural environment is carried out by summarizing and analyzing successive observations (periodic and current), the direction and intensity of changes, comparing the obtained indicators with standards for the qualitative state of the natural environment and taking into account possible environmental damage.
- providing a new type of service for citizens about air, water and soil pollution;
- provision of current atmospheric, water and soil data available at automatic stations and pollution observation points;
- providing useful information and recommendations to prevent adverse effects on the health of citizens, plants and animals due to air, water and soil pollution;
- providing the dynamics of pollution changes in the form of graphs.
