Objectives and Tasks of the System

collecting, analyzing and processing data related to the green economy of the republic and presenting them to users;

– providing services and information related to the green economy activities;

– providing information related to green projects implemented in the republic;

– collecting data related to climate change, monitoring and controlling of climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts;

– collecting and processing data related to GHG emissions in the republic and providing information to users on the results;

– helping to increase the capacity building of residents and users on green economy and sustainable development;

– collecting reports related to green economy and presenting them to users;

– collecting opinions and comments of residents and users on green economy.

About the Project

The green economy platform was established under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to the Presidential decision of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 436 “On measures to increase the effectiveness of reforms aimed at the transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to a “green” economy by 2030” on December 2, 2022. This platform is one of the main factors for the development of the green economy in the country.

The operation and control of the platform is carried out by the “Center for Green Economy Projects” under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Platform Sections

Green Energy Certificate	These Certificates are used for affirmation of the electricity generation at specified amount with minimum environmental impact
Green Growth Indicators	These indicators allow to study and analyze green economy’s impact to people, businesses and countries
Information on greenhouse gas emissions	These are various frameworks to ensure transparency, accountability and accuracy in monitoring, reporting and verifying the results of specific actions or commitments
National Capacity for Green Taxation and the Control, Monitoring and Reporting System	It is a reporting tool to trace how green the tax system is, including the dynamics of “green” mandatory revenues and the amount of tax credits used to promote “green” economy and energy, and to increase national capacity
Registry of GHG Emissions	The registry contains figures on yearly emission amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere by enterprises and organizations in the Republic
Green Projects	This page provides information about the green projects under implementation in the country
Green Legislation	This page provides access to national legislative acts regarding the green economy
Green Reforms and ESG	This page provides the information about the results of reforms in energy sector
Carbon trade	This section provides information and services on international and domestic trading of greenhouse gas emissions in the republic.
